An industrial visit for B. Pharmacy 2nd sem students of CCP at Unichem Laboratories Ltd., Baddi

A batch of B. Pharmacy 2nd semester students and two Faculty members, Mr Ajmer Singh, Asstt Prof and Ms Ameya Sharma, Asstt Prof from Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Punjab, visited Unichem Laboratories Ltd., Baddi, Himachal Pradesh (India) on March 17, 2018 to get a first hand exposure to formulation manufacturing activities on industrial scale.

During this session, students learned about procedures for inventory management, sampling, quality checks, processing, operations, packing and quality assurance relevant to product uniformity. Students also visited the service floor and learned about water purification system, HEPA filters, purified air systems, etc. Unichem Laboratories Ltd. is one of India’s most respected pharmaceutical companies committed to delivering better health care through superior products.

The objectives of this visit were to acquaint and make aware the students about the application of theoretical concepts to industrial processes and systems flow.
