Inception of Aautosync

Every year the Indian auto market is surging ahead and is witnessing a growth of about 16 to 20 per cent. With this, there are strong possibilities that India is going to be the second largest automotive market in Asia. Following this, to enable our Mechanical engineering students to get the best out of what we offer, Chitkara University has come up with Aautosync.

Aautosync is an automotive Centre of Excellence incepted at Chitkara University as Punjab.Aautosync has collaborated with Steinbeis Centre for Technology Transfer India, a network centre of – Steinbeis GmbH and Co. KG für Technology transfer, Germany, which bridges the world of science, academia, and business, coherently.

This Centre of Excellence was launched at Chitkara University, Punjab campus, by Dr Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University. The Steinbeis network comprises of a global network connecting more than 850 centres, not just in Europe, but also in other countries like China, Russia and Singapore.

On this occasion, Vineet Kumar Goyal, Director, Steinbeis India, was also present. He explained in detail about the various job opportunities that will come up for Mechanical engineering students with the surge in the automotive market.

The centre is headed by Er. Ankit Khurana, Project Manager – Aautosync. Khurana mentioned that, “The Centre specializes in its own stream of technology and has excellent resources in terms of laboratories and expert faculty promoting academic excellence for the Automobile industry and Institution with the following motives:

a. To enhance Industry-Institute Interaction by way of organizing Industry & Students visits to the Institute and vice-versa, and seminars in various technical and management areas.

b. To create own expertise in various disciplines by offering Training, Consultancy & Technology Development Services to the Industry.

c. To offer short to long term courses to Industry Workmen and Executives with the objective of two-way knowledge exchange.

d. To network with National & International Institutions working with the same objectives in various areas of Technology through faculty and student visits / exchanges and joint industry & R&D Projects.

e. Work in the area of Entrepreneurship Development.

The centre dawns new ground in the automotive sector and is perched to revolutionizing the industry for years to come”.
