IEI student members invited to 70th Annual General Meeting

The Institution of Engineers (India), Punjab and Chandigarh State Centre, invited the student members of IEI, Chitkara University, to 70th Annual General Meeting held at Chandigarh.

The student members of ECE, CSE and ME ardently participated in the function. Faculty members, Er. Amanpreet Kaur accompanied the students. The meeting was observed in the presence of many dignitaries. Mr. A.S. Chattha (IAS retd.) was the chief guest. Er. P.S. Bhogal, Honorary Secretary, Punjab and Chandigarh State Centre, introduced the AGM and also presented the Kala Devi awards to the student toppers of different universities.

Er. A.S. Bakshi, Chairman, IEI Punjab and Chandigarh State Centre, felicitated Aastha Sharma (CSE 2nd year) and Radhika Aggarwal (ECE 2nd year) the students with certificates and appreciated their performance in the smooth conduct of the function.

The sixteenth A.S. Sekhon memorial lecture was given by Prof. (Dr) Amar Pratap Singh, Dean, S.L.I.E.T. Longowal on topic ‘Virtual Reality’. He encouraged the students to get involved in the new projects of Punjab government for the industrial development of Punjab.
