IEEE CUIET Student Branch in collaboration with Delhi Section organises a Coding and Hardware Hackathon

IEEE, CUIET Student Branch in collaboration with Delhi Section, Student Activities Committee successfully organized an event ‘Hack with HER’: Coding and Hardware Hackathon at Chitkara University, Punjab on 10th- 11th March 2018. The Hackathon was a 15-hour non-stop event, started on 10th March at 3:00 pm and ended on 11th March at 8:00 am where all the participants took part in the event with an enthusiasm & great team sprits.

The Coding Hackathon was a competitive programming challenge and Hardware Hackathon was theme based challenge, the theme was: “Smart Solutions for Home Automation”. The competition was fierce as 41 teams of approximately 120 participants. After 15 hours of rigorous hard-work, the event concluded with a closing ceremony. In the closing ceremony, the winners were rewarded.

Team “Internship” of Divyansh Gaba, Karan Gupta, Chander Mohan Singh Negi won the First Prize and the 2nd prize went to Team “PECcoders” Nikita Gupta, Pradhuman Goyal, NirmalJot Singh Bhasin who were presented with a cash prize of Rs 8000 and Rs 5000 respectively. The Hardware hackathon winners were Team “Incognito” of Kunwar Raj Singh, Madhur Gupta, Mandeep Singh who were presented with a cash prize of Rs 7000.

A random challenge was thrown at the participants of Coding Hackathon to design an app on the theme “Smart Solutions for Home Automation”. Team “Code Bubs” of Vaibhav Setia, Krittika Chhabra and Kunal Gupta emerged as winners of this random challenge and were rewarded with goodies. Thereby, concluding an exciting and fun-filled event where everyone had given their best including the organizers.
