Hospitality students learn nuances of hotel marketing

To educate the students about the latest trends in hotel marketing using new age media, Chitkara School of Hospitality invited Ms. Mehak Sachdeva. Ms. Sachdeva has a profound experience in marketing field as she has worked as marketing manager with Hyatt, Carlson group and ITC hotels.

During the session with the students, Ms. Sachdeva emphasized on the role of various websites like facebook, twitter, foursquare, flickr, youtube, tripadvisor etc. in hotel marketing. She also discussed the importance of online travel agents (OTA) in hotel marketing. Before concluding the session she took the entire group of students through different tabs of websites of hotels and educated everybody about virtual tours that are accessible through the hotel websites.

The session got an overwhelming response from the students. The overall session was a great experience for the students as well as faculties in understanding the role of new age media in hotel marketing.
