Hindi Diwas 2020 celebrations at Chitkara University

The Office of Student Affairs, Chitkara University, Punjab celebrated National Language of India, Hindi Diwas on 14th September.

The OSA, celebrated this day to showcase the importance of language in the Indian culture. This is the day to celebrate the birth anniversary of Hindi scholar and stalwart Beohar Rajendra Simha.

Various activities were organized for the students- Slogan Writing Activity, Poetry recitation, Role Play of famous faces of Hindi Literature and Recitation on Dohas. 20 Students from different departments participated in the event and presented their devotion towards Hindi language. Language and Culture of any country plays an important role in making people connect with the people and helps in making a strong nation. Hindi is often referred to as ‘language of unity’ in India and has a lot of significance in our culture. A day was celebrated with pride to pay tribute to the national language.

This day is commemorated to show the significance of Hindi Language and the luminaries in the field of Hindi Literature.
