Global Engineering Week highlights global teaching environment, concludes on high note

The much talked about Global Engineering Week that was held at Chitkara University, Punjab, concluded amidst students already yearning for it.

During this event, Chitkara University students interacted with guest lecturers from partner universities, who taught them short-term courses on topics such as Robotics and Research, Quantum Communication, Power Electronics, Lossless Data Compression, Mobile Robotics, Software Testing for Embedded Systems and Modern Wireless Technologies.

The students enjoyed learning from erudite professors and appreciated the technical knowledge of the visiting professors.

One of the students remarked, “The global week has given me exposure to an international way of learning. It feels great to have participated in such a global event.”

Another student chipped in, “This event is unique in nature as it lets us have a glimpse of different teaching environments. This event has certainly inspired me to go to Europe to have a true global experience.”

The highly successful event was equally well received by faculty and academic staff of Chitkatra Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Students and faculty are looking forward to the next global week in 2014.
