Girl makes us proud, gets trained at mechanical engineering workshop

A girl student from Chitkara University has yet again set an example for others to follow by being the only girl being trained at a mechanical engineering workshop at the Chitkara campus.

Women today are playing some of the most powerful roles, including leadership, various sectors and have been acknowledged for some of the most profound social transformations of recent decades.

Our students with her proactive approach and grit has once again proved that girls can do equally good as boys in Mechanical Engineering and they should opt for it.

A total of 160 students were trained in trades of welding, sheet metal, carpentry, grinding, foundry and painting. Students showed enthusiasm and were keen to learn. During this training, they fabricated items of use in the campus such as tables for architecture classroom, table stands for files, book supports for library.

Mr Mohinder Singh, Mr Ravinderpal Singh and Mr Anoop Aggarwal, along with workshop and lab instructors, ensured that the training is done in the best possible way.
