Film, presentation on landscape architecture by Mr. William Burford
Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture organized a film and presentation by Guest Speaker Mr. William Andrew Burford from University of Gloucestershire in Pulitzer Hall at our campus.
Landscape architecture is the design of outdoor public areas, landmarks, and structures to attain environmental, social-behavioural, or artistic outcomes.
The presentation was followed by an interactive session between speaker and the students. The event was concluded by Prof. Kiran Joshi – Head Chitkara Center for Advanced Studies in Architecture, where she expressed the need to integrate studies in Landscape Architecture within the curriculum of undergraduate architectural studies in India, as it has a significant role in sustainable growth – an essential aspect of every future development.
Architects Abhishek Sharma and Tarun Gupta- Faculty at Chitkara School of Planning & Architecture organized the event that talked about landscape architecture involving the methodical study of existing social, ecological, and geological conditions and processes in the landscape, and the design of interventions that will produce something desirable and unique.
