Experts present industry insights on diagnostic techniques at Annual ADT Symposium
The 8th Annual ADT Symposium on ‘Recent Advances in Diagnostic Techniques’ was organised at Chitkara University, on March 28, 2019. The Symposium offered a platform for interaction with the industry as well as the professionals of the field. Keynote talks by Dr. Harsh Mohan, Sr. Consultant, Oncquest Laboratories Ltd, Paras Hospital, Panchkula, on ‘Charting Your Own Path in Career in Diagnostics: The Power of Potential’; Dr. Rakesh Bijarnia, Managing Director, Medzome Life Sciencez, Baddi, on ‘Immunodiagnostic & its prospects in entrepreneurship’; Dr. D. K Dhawan, Professor, Department of Biophysics, Punjab University, Chandigarh, on ‘Radiation & life’; and Dr. Manveen Kaur, Department of Pathology, GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh, on ‘Advances in diagnostic techniques in Pathology’; presented industry insights into the varied disciplines of diagnostic techniques.
A Poster Making and Model Making competition was also declared open for students. In Poster Making Competition, students Aakash, Kanika, Ritul, Deepak, MD Raja, Sikander (MIT, Sem 6) bagged the first prize for ‘Advancement in CT Scan’ poster; along with Simranjeet and Karanveer (MIT, Sem 4) for ‘PET-MRI’ poster. In Model Making Competition, Shoaib, Himesh, Nirmala, Akshita, Shekhar took the first prize for ‘Silent MRI’ model; followed by Murtaza, Khalid, Basit, Rufaida, Syeed with the second prize for ‘MRI’ model. For students of MLT/OTT/DTT – in Poster Competition, Rahul Gill and Rahul Tiwari bagged the first prize for RT-PCR. In Model Competition, Mrityunjaya, Prashansa, Aman, Raviranjan, Riya bagged the first prize for ‘Operation Theatre’ model, followed by Aakash, Rayees, Ritika and Abhinav with second prize for ‘Dialysis Machine’ model.
