Expert Talk Organized on VFX In and Out-The Backbone of Movies by Pete Draper
The Department of Gaming and Interactive Design, Chitkara School of Art and Design organized an expert talk on ” VFX In and Out-The Backbone of Movies ” by Pete Draper, Co-founder Makuta VFX at the Exploratorium.
Pete Draper is a renowned computer graphics virtuoso, with a rich experience of over two decades in the visual effects industry. He has been solely associated with the Indian Film Industry for the last eight years, working on blockbusters such as Baahubali, Eega (Makkhi), Ghajini, Magadheera, Endhiran (Robot) and Kaala. He shared his rich experience with the students and explained how to create and describe imagery, manipulate or enhance the visual effects for films. He further guided the participants to use and manipulate imagery to create realistic looking environments in film and to further apply different materials and techniques in making actual models. Pete Draper during his address emphasized that students need to explore their own creative imagery.
