Epic Epilogue: Chitkara University’s Explore’17 held with much aplomb

Published on March 30, 2017 | 2466 views

Explore’17, the most awaited fest of all times of Chitkara University was recently held at the University’s Rajpura campus amidst much fanfare with great aplomb.

The fest started with a beautiful opening ceremony in exploratorium. A beautiful classical dance was performed that was really appreciable and captivating enough.

Vibes of excitement, enthusiasm and exuberance were radiated by the students everywhere and it was a time for great joy and jubilation. The ravishing performances from various groups of Chitkara University acted as a fuel to start the enthralling day. After the mesmerising opening ceremony, it was then time to groove to the moves with the mega event Foot-It- out which was judged by Ms. Isha Dang and Mr. Ron. Isha Dang has graced the talent show Boogie Woogie twice. Apart from that, she has been organising various dance shows which were judged by the Dancing Master Terrence Lewis.

Paintball was a huge success with teams showing us that talent wins small games but teamwork and intelligence wins championships. Other events included Art Alley; Paintball; Splitsvilla; Beg, Borrow and Steal; Deception; the Escapade; Lazermaze; Hogathon; Snaptext; Pool Tournament and LAN Gaming.

Popular Punjabi Artist Mahiraj launched his new album at Explore’17 and the gorgeous Mandy Takhar also visited to be part of the fest.

And the fun just didn’t end here. Under the starry sky and along the setting sun, the beautiful and the talented Russian Origin DJ Julia Bliss ruled the night with her amazing DJ-ing skills on the evening of the fest. During the final evening, the stage was overtaken by the heartthrob Punjabi Singer Hardy Singh. It may have been dark during their performance but the mood was nowhere near it. Instead, they had turned an otherwise monotonous mundane night into a magical, exciting one.

The second day of the exhilarating and colourful 2-day extravaganza Explore’17 was equal parts of awesomeness in organisation and turnout.

The day started off with “Charisma” which left the audience and the judges equally enthralled with the glitzy, dazzling performances. Various teams participated in this battle of confidence and fashion. The judge for Charisma was Ms. Rashi Yadav, who is a renowned model in India and was crowned as Miss Earth India 2016 and represented India in the coming edition of Miss Earth 2016. Rashi is a former Miss Diva Universe contestant and she has walked the runway of various fashion shows.

Other events were held throughout the day. In “Polaroid”, photographers showed ordinary lights, colours and textures beautifully through a different perspective. The way the contestants see the world is unique and photography lets them share that perspective with others.

In “Strokes and Impressions” our artistic contestants showed us that painting by nature is a luminous language. Creating an admirable work of art is not that easy. Giving shape and colors to what is on your mind – it’s a challenge you have to accomplish. Every artist took this challenge up and proceeded through the adventurous journey of creating the artwork he/she always wanted to relish.

A fest is only as good as its audience, and we are absolutely enthralled by the wonderful crowd we had this time around. Also, a big shout-out to all the performers and artists who enlivened the two magical days of EXPLORE’17. Here’s to everyone who was a part of!

Co-sponsored by 9XTashan, 9XM, ChitkaraRadio 107.8 FM and IWEIC, the major success of the Explore’17 could be due to the excellence of the theme behind the fest, the ebullience of the participants’ personality or the commitment and the hard work of all the people. At the end of the day, it was celebrated in such a glamorous manner that it may have gone but no other fest could ever replace this enthralling feeling which had been exuded by Explore’17.
