Engineering students celebrate ‘Red Hat Academy Day’

Chitkara University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering; celebrated ‘Red Hat Academy Day’ – to commemorate Red Hat Academy program that “bridges the gap between education and industry, to transform students into the next generation of IT technologist”, at the campus on August 8, 2019.

Red Hat Academy coordinator, Mr Jatin Arora addressed the students, providing them insight into Red Hat Certification and Training Programs – open source certification programs for engineering students. The Red Hat Academy curriculum involves hands-on instruction across the platform, middleware, and cloud technologies. Rather than learning theoretical skills, students learn practical skills based on use cases from thousands of enterprise implementations.

An Expert Session was also held on ‘Open Source Technology’ by Mr. Pawan Kumar, Director, Office of Information Technology, Chitkara University; along with group activities and quiz which was judged by Mr. Ishant Pahuja, ESL Faculty.
