ECOLUTION club inaugurated. To undertake activities promoting sustainable environment

Did you know? 50% of the World’s Population is staying in a Climatic hotspot. The battle to limit the Globe to a 1.5-degree celsius rise will be won and lost in this decade.

Realizing this colossal challenge with a will to overcome it, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Ma’am Dr. Madhu Chitkara inaugurated ECOLUTION- Chitkara Sustainability Club. Expressing her concern about the rapidly deteriorating global climatic conditions Dr. Chitkara expressed that all hands should be on the deck to navigate climate challenges. Each action, however big or small will matter. She also highlighted that university clubs have the potential to play a significant role in addressing global challenges. These challenges include climate change, poverty, social inequality, healthcare, and many others. University students, she concluded, are often at the forefront of innovative thinking and problem-solving, and as such, university clubs can be instrumental in driving change in society.

The aim of the club ECOLUTION is to generate awareness and undertake action-oriented activities by involving the maximum number of Chitkarians. That said, many noteworthy actions have already been started but much more is required to be done.
