I.E.(India) Students Chapter Celebrated World Standards Day

With the motive of working together to strengthen and advance voluntary and consensus-based international standards, The Students’ Chapter of I.E. (India), Chitkara University celebrated the World Standards Day on 14th October, 2014. The theme of the day was “Standards Level the Playing Field”.

What do a sheet of A4 paper, drinking water, a safety helmet and a pressure cooker have in common? Standardization! To bring about awareness among the students regarding standards, events named “PowerPoint Karaoke” and “Foster Your Poster” were organized in the campus. Student speakers elaborated the theme via presenting their presentations in a marvellous way.

Nipun Goyal (CSE 3D) and Shaurya Gulati (ECE 3Y) stood first while second position was achieved by Smridhi Batra (CSE 3B) in ‘PowerPoint Karaoke’. Students also showcased their talent by making creative posters in ‘Foster your Poster’ event. Dhruv Malhotra (ME 3X) and Arpit Khippal (ME 3X) stood first in while Divya Malhotra (ECE 3X) stood second for making an eye catching poster.
