Dr. S.N. Panda, Mr Pawan Kumar, attended two days India Digital Education Summit hosted by CISCO, ISB Hyderabad

Dr. S.N. Panda, Director Research along with Mr Pawan Kumar, Associate Director, IT at Chitkara University attended two days India Digital Education Summit hosted by CISCO and ISB Hyderabad. CISCO demonstrated many applications for a smart campus, IOT, Cloud base applications etc. which are useful for projects and digital transformation.

The rapidity of digital change is generating risks and prospects for education institutions, particularly universities. This has spelt a need for engaging educational setups to understand the need of a digital change.

The two-day Digital Education Summit explored a large array of themes. Delegates had an opportunity to work closely with industry representatives, including Cisco, which focused on three main themes:

• The impact of digital on learners, the workplace and the workforce of the future and more
• The impact of digital on innovation processes and cycles
• Lessons learned from a digital strategy and implementation perspective

The summit intended to provide opportunities for delegates to share and test their thinking. Practical, small group discussions were a part of the agenda to allow time for delegates to get the benefit of each others’ expertise.
