Dr Renuka Sharma & Dr Kiran Mehta presents research paper in the 7th India Finance Conference 2017 at IIM Bangalore

Dr Renuka Sharma and Dr Kiran Mehta, Associate Professors of Chitkara Business School, represented Chitkara University at 7th India Finance Conference (IFC-2017) held in IIM, Bangalore. They presented a research paper titled “Factors Affecting Socially Responsible Behavior of Indian Investors: Using EFA and DEMATEL” under the track Equity Markets and their research work was appreciated for the originality of research idea and methodology adopted.

The paper examined the dynamic behavior of market development and the growth of economy pertaining to Indian investors. It was a clearly framed, precisely written and topic oriented paper. Our professors’ efforts were acknowledged and appreciated.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) jointly organized this annual conference.

The symposium provided a platform to the budding researchers to present their contemporary research in the area of finance, accounting, risk and analytics. The conference committee of IFA, in consultation with CRSIL, shortlisted the papers that were presented at the symposium and Dr Renuka’s and Dr Kiran’s paper was shortlisted amongst several entries that were submitted.

Academics, researchers, doctoral students, and practitioners were invited and encouraged to submit research papers in all areas of finance. It is a matter of pride for Chitkara University that several of its papers penned down by its professors have received applause and appreciation on both national and the international level.
