Dr. Nitin Saluja, Assistant Director, Research in Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network is awarded among Top-30 by Government of India Department of Science and Technology and Lockheed Martin US for his product E-DeWeeder. It is a premium event by Government of India and aligns with Make in India campaign of H’ble Prime Minitter Shri Narendra Modi. He is awarded cash award, a certificate, a medal and business development support by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

The event included scrutiny from three rounds and a presentation. He is the only awardee from Private academic Organizations in India. Top 50 inventors are trained by Stanford Graduate School of Business for commercialisation from Top B Schools around globe. He has already bagged another International award by IEEE for the same innovation.
