Dr Madhu Chitkara motivates Balkirat Singh to always explore his potential as he represents India at Italy in WIHC
Our Honourable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Madhu Chitkara interacted, encouraged and felicitated Balkirat Singh, our Mechanical fifth Semester student.
He represented India in the World Inline Hockey Championship held at Asiago/Roana, Italy from 14th July 2018 to 29th July 2018 in Under 19 (junior).
WIHC is the sport’s highest profile annual international tournament. The first World Championship held was in 1995. Twelve different nations participated. Though the USA has been a champion in the majority of events as far as this game goes India surely is inching closer to doing better and we take pride in stating that Balkirat has significant contribution in it.
It is a trend at Chitkara University to encourage sports and due to the support and facilities the University provides to its students for sports, the University has done excellent in several sports at the national level and Balkirat has taken the level to the international arena.
He will be shortly flying to South Korea to represent India in Asian Championship.
