Dr Madhu Chitkara becomes part of the biggest entrepreneurial event, TiEcon 2021

TiECON, Chandigarh organised its entrepreneurial event from March 18th to 20th, 2021. The theme for TiECON Chandigarh 2021 this year was Adapt, Overcome and Improvise. It was the biggest entrepreneurial event in the Northern Region of India.

“TiE Chandigarh” is a chapter of a “TiE Global” conceptualised and started by tech entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley in the year 1992. TiE Silicon Valley is one of the world’s largest ecosystems for enterprise executives, venture capitalists, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, tech influencers, educators, venture capitalists and enterprise executives. As they mention, their mission is to focus on and foster tech entrepreneurship globally. They help entrepreneurs, globally, through sharing expertise and connecting them with domain experts and influencers with the help of programs and partnerships.

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor of ChitkaraUniversity was an eminent speaker at the event and shared her valuable insights during a panel discussion on the topic ‘Punjab as a Global Destination’.

She talked about Punjab’s successful journey in general and Chandigarh in particular and the exponential growth across all sectors. She also humbly submitted about Chitkara’s contribution to the education sector and also mentioned CURIN and CEED, and the immense opportunities being provided to the young entrepreneurs to explore their ideas. As she culminated the talk, she talked about how Punjab has ticked all boxes to be the next big destination for ‘Investment, Education, and Business’.

Eminent personalities like Brijraj Vaghani (CTO, Ola), Mohit Chauhan (Playback Singer, Bollywood), Pankaj Vermani (CEO and Founder, Clovia), Vini Mahajan (Chief Secretary, Govt. of Punjab), VivekSunder (COO, Swiggy) and many more were also part of this virtual event.
