Dr Madhu Chitkara attends APAIE at Melbourne
Dr Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, along with her team had a rather memorable visit to Melbourne, Victoria’s coastal capital, city of stately 19th-century buildings and tree-lined boulevards, Australia’s hub of sport, style and culture.
She was there primarily for APAIE. The APAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition is one of the most well-known forums in the Asia-Pacific region for bringing together policy-makers and education experts from around the world to improve professional skills and learn about new developments in international education.
From attending the event to signing of MoU’s, to visiting some of the best universities, grand luncheons, meeting with the Alumni and visit to Great Ocean Road, one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives, the entourage had a very successful journey.
We would like to mention something that Dr Madhu will always hold close to her heart. A gesture shown by one of our alumni. Gurdarshan Singh from the first batch (2002 – 2006) of Mechanical Engineering came to know about Dr Madhu Chitkara’s presence at Melbourne through our Facebook post. He, along with his wife, specially came to meet her to express his heartfelt gratitude to Chitkara fraternity of providing him and thousands more a platform to reach such glorified future. This is the bond we share with our students and we take pride in this.
