Dr. Archana Mantri to play a hand in advancing the mission of the Govt. of India.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Archana Mantri has been named as one of the members of the North Zone Committee by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the successful implementation of National Education Policy 2020.

The UGC has constituted five zonal committees with Vice Chancellors of Central Universities, State Universities, Private Universities, and Deemed to be Universities. The University Grants Commision has been striving hard to fulfil the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 and ensure that the benefits reach a large section of the aspirational youth in a time-bound manner. Henceforth, these committees have been constituted to facilitate the universities to develop a road map for the effective implementation of significant initiatives.

Broadly, the committee of which our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor would be a part of, will work to –

• Bring together the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the Zones and guide them to adopt various initiatives for qualitative transformation of higher education.
• Deliberate upon the strategies for implementation of NEP and challenges therein and sharing of best practices.
• Document and report the initiatives taken and progress made by various HEIs in the region.
