Dr Anita Gupta receives an International honour at an International Conference, ICBMI-2020
Dr. Anita Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Allied Health Sciences, Chitkara University received “PROF. S. RAJESHWARI AWARD” at International Conference on Biomedical Materials Innovations (ICBMI-2020) organised by Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs, India (SBOAI) in association with Department of Nanoscience and Technology, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India.
This ICBMI is a society which not only cultivates an atmosphere nationwide for the growth of basic and technological oriented research in biomaterials and Artificial Organs but also brings the professionals from various faculties together to improve the quality of their approach in future research.
Dr. Gupta presented a paper titled “Clinical implications of Garlic lectin on amino acids and sugar absorption”. In her talk, she discussed various applications of lectins in healthcare and stressed on the effects of high molecular weight garlic lectin on the permeability of intestine in mice using radioisotopes.
Lately, she has also attended “4th International Conference on Soft Materials (ICSM2020)’ organised by Soft Materials Research Society, Jaipur in association with Malvia National Technology, Jaipur, India. The topic of talk for this conference was “Applications of Mannose-binding Lectins and Mannan glycoconjugates in Nanomedicine”.
