Department of Physiotherapy from CSHS celebrated World Physiotherapy Day 2017

Department of Physiotherapy, Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University, Punjab celebrated World Physiotherapy Day on 8th September 2017 with theme “Physical Activity for Life”. Prof. Keerthi Pradhan, Dr. Meenakshi Sood, Dr. Harmeet Kaur and Dr. G. K. Balaji presided over the events. Prof. Keerthi Pradhan and Dr. G K Balaji addressed the gathering with their oration on the theme. Various events were organized by Department of Physiotherapy to commemorate this day. Interschool Science quiz competition was the first event among the several others. Four schools namely Doon International School, Mohali; Government Girls Model School, Chandigarh; AKSIPS, Chandigarh and Mukut Public School, Rajpura participated in the event. Apart from a quiz, poster and debate competition was also organized. Students from Department of Allied Health Sciences won various prizes in the poster and debate competition followed by cultural events performed by the physiotherapy students and valediction.
