Department of Applied Sciences organises an expert talk to mark National Mathematics Day at Chitkara University
An expert talk on ‘Introduction to Fuzzy Logic and its Applications’ was organized by the Department of Applied Sciences at Chitkara University, to mark the National Mathematics Day which is celebrated every year on December 22. This day is celebrated to honour the Birth Anniversary of the legendary Indian Mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The talk was delivered by Dr Deepika Rani, Assistant Professor in Department of Mathematics, Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. It was a highly interactive and enlightening session as all the participants were quite enthusiastic to know about the topic and its relevance.
Dr Deepika explained the contents of her talk by giving a lot of real-life examples that made the talk more interesting. She also explained the process of the interpretation of linguistic data in the mathematical form. The Simulation of an automatic braking system using MATLAB was also discussed.MATLAB is a computer programming language developed by MathWorks. It is used to analyze and design the systems and products transforming our world.
In all, it was a very informative session and a great way to celebrate National Mathematics Day.
