Department of Computer Applications Organises a 2-day workshop on Computer Networks under CSI Student Chapter

Department of Computer Applications organised two days hands-on workshop on “Computer Networks” under Student Chapter of Computer Society of India (CSI) on March 8th-9th, 2018 with an objective to aware the student’s about Cisco technologies used worldwide.

The sessions were delivered by Mr Ravinder Singh and Mr Mohit Garg, Assistant Professors from School of Computer Applications. In the workshop, Students worked on well-known network simulator ‘Packet Tracer version 7.0’ cross-platform visual simulation tool designed by Cisco Systems. In the workshop, students create network topologies used in modern computer networks. The software allows students to simulate the configuration of Cisco based Routers and Switches using a simulated command line interface. The total number of students enrolled in this workshop was 39.

The workshop concluded on a successful note. It was all through a great learning experience. The workshop received a very good response from the participants and also a very positive feedback.
