DELCON 2023 – The Flagship Conference of IEEE Delhi Section hosted

Chitkara University recently hosted DELCON 2023, the flagship conference of the IEEE Delhi Section. The conference, held from February 24-26, featured over 350 delegates from across the globe. The theme of the conference was “Technological Advancements in Current Times for the Benefit of Humanity,” which drew inspiration from the tagline of IEEE.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Dr. Subrata Mukhopadhyay (Life Member, IEEE), Dr. Abdul Q. Ansari (Chair, IEEE Delhi Section), and Dr. Rachana Garg (Immediate Past Chair, IEEE Delhi Section). Prof. Dr. Shiban Koul, Professor Emeritus, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, delivered the keynote address on cutting-edge biomedical applications at high radio frequencies.

A total of 288 papers were received and peer-reviewed, with 108 selected for presentation over three days in 17 tracks. The conference also featured five invited talks by leading researchers.

The core local organising team of DELCON 2023, comprising Dr. Rajnish Sharma, Sagar Juneja, and Dr. Rishu Chabbra, were praised for putting together a though provoking show. The baton of DELCON 2024 was passed on to BVICAM, New Delhi.
