CURIN Hosts ‘STEM Projects Exhibition’ Featuring Regional Schools
Chitkara University’s Research and Innovation Network (CURIN) organised a ‘STEM Projects Exhibition’, showcasing a remarkable display of 45 innovative projects from nine distinguished schools within the region. The event served as the culmination of a transformative two-year project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) division. The project, initiated in December 2021 and spearheaded by Dr. Archana Mantri and Dr. Sagar Juneja of Chitkara University, aimed to inspire and motivate young minds towards Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
Under the aegis of this DST-funded endeavour, a comprehensive series of activities were meticulously curated and implemented in the nine participating schools over the last two years. The primary objective was to foster a passion for STEM subjects among school students, encouraging them to explore the diverse and exciting realms of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
The grand finale, the ‘STEM Projects Exhibition,’ unfolded at the Chitkara University campus, providing a platform for students to showcase their learning, innovations, and creativity. The exhibition was a testament to the hard work and dedication invested by both students and educators throughout the two-year duration of the project.
The exhibited projects encompassed a wide spectrum of STEM disciplines, highlighting the breadth and depth of understanding achieved by the students. From cutting-edge technologies to sustainable solutions, the projects underscored the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.
The exhibition not only provided a platform for the students to present their projects but also offered a valuable opportunity for interaction and the exchange of ideas. Students, teachers, and visitors alike engaged in meaningful conversations, fostering a collaborative spirit and promoting the essence of scientific inquiry.
As Chitkara University continues to spearhead initiatives that contribute to the advancement of STEM education, the ‘STEM Projects Exhibition’ stands out as an example of the university’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders. The success of this exhibition marks a significant milestone in the journey towards creating a more scientifically literate and innovation-driven society.
