Culinary Arts students bag Gold Medal at Culinary Art India 2023

Chitkara School of Culinary Arts bagged the prestigious gold medal in the chocolate sculpture category in the Culinary Art India 2023. The Culinary Art India 2023 is held each year at AAHAR and is one of India’s most prestigious culinary competitions. Contestants from the length and breadth of the country competed in diverse categories like plated appetizers, plated desserts, and more.

Chef Aayusha Roy, Assistant Professor presented a rendition of the legendary Jack Sparrow in pure chocolate. This piece took her more than 3 weeks to carve and embellish with the minutest details. Culinary Arts program students Pratham and Akshit of Chitkara School of Culinary Arts participated in the categories of plated appetizers and plated 3-course menu.

The fourth-semester B.Sc Bakery and Pastry Arts students Aishmeet Kaur and Pranjal also showcased their cake-making skills at AAHAR 2023. The competition was judged by a panel of the finest craftsmen and chefs from India and abroad and was attended by dignitaries and chefs from around the world.
