CU-A wins Chitkara Football League amidst enthusiasm, excitement

It was time that Chitkara Football League took the limelight away from Cricket Mania, as it changed the flavour for the season with 16 teams participating in the league.

The campus witnesses regular sports activities for our students as some important lessons of life are taught to us by sports. Sports activities instill confidence, discipline, team spirit, accountability and sacrifice among students and this was proved yet again by students of the university during the football league.

The final match was played between CU-A and HIMALAYANS and in a very exciting and spell binding match. The winner’s title was clinched by CU-A by 1-0

Ruball Arora walked away with the title of- Man of the Match.

CU-team were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 15000/- and Himalayans with Rs 10000/-.

There is a strong link between sports and student life. The university believes that sports are an integral part of the overall development of our students at the University. The significance of sports goes beyond just physical fitness. A fit body leads to a fit mind and this makes the University organize several sports activities on a regular basis.
