CSR Activity: Health check-up camp organised for Old Age Home in Rajpura
A free Health Check-up Camp was organised by Chitkara School of Health Sciences, for the residents of Old Age Home in Rajpura, on September 20, 2019, as Corporate Social Responsibility.
The objective of the camp was to provide information regarding a healthy lifestyle and conduct basic health check-up for the residents. The students not only examined the health of villagers, but they also spread awareness about sanitation and preventive healthcare. The villagers participated in the camp wholeheartedly.
Such activities are a regular at the University as being actively involved with people is a prerequisite for a health care professional and the camp gave immense exposure to all our students who were an integral part of the camp.
The CSR focus areas are healthcare including sanitation and preventive healthcare, road-safety awareness, education, and sustainable livelihood.
Chitkara University, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, aims to make a positive difference in the lives of the people by engaging in activities that eliminate or alleviates pain and suffering to to the underprivileged sections of the society, making healthcare a reality.
