CSPA Takes Lead in NEP 2020 Implementation with Expert-Led Sessions

Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture (CSPA), a constituent of Chitkara University, recently hosted insightful expert sessions on the ‘Overview of National Education Policy 2020’ and ‘The National Credit Framework.’ The sessions, conducted by distinguished leaders in academia, aimed to delve into the intricacies of these transformative educational frameworks.

The ‘Overview of National Education Policy 2020’ session was expertly led by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor of Chitkara University. Dr. Chitkara provided a comprehensive understanding of the progressive concepts embedded in the NEP 2020. Meticulously tracing each aspect back to its origin, she elucidated the vision, mission, and objectives of this groundbreaking document—a significant milestone implemented after 34 years in continuation of the NEP 1986.

Dr. Chitkara emphasised the paramount importance of NEP 2020 and stressed that every faculty member must possess a profound understanding to ensure its effective implementation across all schools. This session served as an enlightening discourse on the future of education in India.

Following this, Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University, Punjab, delivered a session on ‘The National Credit Framework.’ Dr. Mantri provided an in-depth exploration, simplifying the complexities of the NCF. She explained how the framework categorises the learning ecosystem into eight levels and allocates credits based on learning hours, with a specific focus on the undergraduate level. Dr. Mantri underscored the invaluable significance of vocational education and skill training in today’s dynamic educational landscape.
