CSPA students explore Architectural Journalism, get creative writing tips

Chitkara School of Planning & Architecture organised a workshop on ‘Creative Writing in Architecture’ by Ar. Pappal Suneja, a freelance Architect and Architectural Journalist, at the campus on August 9, 2019.

The workshop started with an ‘Introduction to Current Scenario of Architectural Journalism in India’, followed by a discussion on the scope and future of the field. The highly informative session was aimed at creating awareness among students about Architectural Journalism as an upcoming profession, and the application of Architectural Vocabulary to creative writing in order to enhance presentation skills. Besides giving tips for article writing, essay writing, blog writing; students were also taught ‘Interpretation of Design’ – and its importance and resourcefulness in the field of Architecture. Students were also introduced to Architectural Photography using specialized techniques to represent aesthetically pleasing and accurate subjects.
