CSPA organises workshop cum field visit for its Semester 4 students

Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture organised a Workshop ( on “Critical Thinking Workshop on Applications of Brise Soleil & Passive Design Techniques in Composite Climate”) cum field Visit for 4th-semester B.Arch students on March 1st, 2023.

The Resource person Ar. Suman Kaushik – Master in Sustainable Architecture,- and a renowned architect at Saakaar foundation, Chandigarh, highlighted many unknown facts related to building and their execution scenario during that time period. The faculty coordinator, Asst. Prof. Priyanka Agrawal oriented students from the perspective of climatology.

The visit was intended to enhance experiential learning and give students a true insight into the vertical & horizontal shading devices. Assembly Hall, Secretariat Building & the High Court are the three dominant buildings that incorporated these shading devices in different ways, making the structures stand out.
