CSI Student Chapter, Department of Computer Applications organized a technical event ‘Code Cracker’
Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter, under the aegis of Department of Computer Applications, Chitkara University, Punjab, organized a technical event “Code Cracker” on March 16, 2018. The chief guests Mr. SC Jain, Chairman, CSI Chandigarh chapter and Mr. DS Chabra, immediate past chairman, CSI Chandigarh chapter inaugurated the event. Dr. Jaiteg Singh Prof. & Dean, Dept. of Computer Applications welcome the chief guests.CSI Chandigarh Chairman Mr. S.C Jain in his speech applaud the efforts of CSI student chapter, Chitkara University in organizing various events for the students.He also congratulated the university for winning CSI Best Accredited Student branch award this year. He gave information about CSI vision and mission to the gathering.CSI core team members were also facilitated by the guests for their effort in organizing events.
More than 60 teams registered for the event from various departments but 30 teams as a team of two members were selected on first come first serve basis. The two main parts of the competition were blind coding and debugging in C language. The event was judged by Mr. Rajesh Kaushal, Mr. Naveen Sharma and Mr. Vikas Rattan, Associate Professors, Department of Computer Applications. Mohit Sharma & Harshit Luthra from CSE won the first prize trailing by Manender Pal & Kashish Thakur from BCA as the first runner-up and Kanishk Rajpal & Pankaj Dariya from BCA were the 2nd runner-up. Cash prizes were given to top three winning teams. In both the levels of the event, the participant has shown deep interest and enthusiasm.
