CSHS students mark World Optometry Day with expert talk, cultural show

As a part of the World Optometry Day celebrations, continuing into the week, Chitkara School of Health Sciences celebrated the event to create awareness about Optometry as a profession on March 26, 2019.

The event witnessed participation of more than 100 Optometry Program students, including B. Optometry 1st Year batch, and M. Optometry. The celebrations started with an Expert Talk by Dr Aditya Goyal, who is a well-known professional in the field of Optometry. The talk was followed by an Interactive Session between B. Optometry (1st Year) students, their seniors from M. Optometry, and expert Dr Aditya Goyal.

The event concluded with a colourful cultural extravaganza presented by the students which included dance performances, like Bhangra, an Awareness Skit and Singing performances. The highlight of the event was a Modelling Show presented by the students, depicting the various roles of an Optometrist!
