CSH Students “First Runner-Up” at 7th North India Patisserie competition, Chandigarh

Accolades to the Chitkara School of Hospitality – IHM Patisserie Team for emerging as winners and runners’ up at the 7th North India Patisserie competition, which was held at CIHM Chandigarh.

Fifteen Teams from various Universities and Institutes from North India participated in the two day event. Team of Chitkara School of Hospitality comprising of Mr. Gurpreet Singh Khalsa and Mr. Vikas Shrikoti of Semester 6 was adjudged overall First Runner Up of the event besides second Runner up in Decorated cake competition and Winners in Quiz & Plated Dessert competition .
Students had come up with innovative recipes in all categories, including decorated cake, platted dessert and innovative bread. In a close contest, the team from Chitkara School of Hospitality bagged the Runners’ Up spot in the overall, apart from two other significant wins.

One of our students said, “Students came up with recipes that were very close to the industry trends. Innovative breads were prepared that included those made with ragi flour, nutria, bell pepper and sprouts stuffed breads. There were some excellent cake decorations using off beat yet scrumptious ingredients.”
