Computer Science & Engineering Students participated in ‘Smart India Hackathon Grand Finale 2017’ at New Delhi
The students of Chitkara University has done it proud once again by making it to the top 6 teams of the World’s biggest Hackathon’s Grand Finale. Chetan Kaushik, Rohit Gupta, Sachin Arora, Chetanya Chopra, Damanpreet Kaur, Ruchita of Chitkara Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Chitkara University participated in ‘Smart India Hackathon Grand Finale 2017’ at New Delhi. It was the World’s Biggest Hackathon organized by the Government of India. More than 7000+ teams registered in 28 different ministries and only around 1200 teams having around 10000+ participants were short-listed for the Grand Finale.
Participants from different states of India had gathered at 26 different cities had to compete by working non-stop for 36 hours. The project made by Chitkara Team provided a solution for a Real-World Problem faced by the Ministry of External Affairs, India. The solution ensured secure access of emails and notes on smartphones and provided an end to end encryption system for all the emails sent through the device. Out of 20+ teams, the Team secured a position among the Top 6 and were honoured with the trophy, medals, and Certificates for making it in the Top 6.
