A complete health check-up camp by NSS, CSHS students

Chitkara School of ‪Health‬ ‪Sciences‬, along with ‪NSS volunteers,‬ organized a complete health ‪‎checkup camp‬ at village Jhansala on August 27, 2015, as a Corporate Social Responsibility activity.

No cause is bigger than helping humanity and it was personified well by our students at the camp. The students not only checked up the villagers, they also spread awareness about various health and hygiene issues among them.
The main focus of the camp was to find cases of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and eye diseases. The changing weather and moisture often spikes eye infections and related disorders. The camp intended to address these issues too.

Team of specialists from SECI, Ludhiana, was invited for eye checkup. The camp got a tremendous response from the villagers. The villagers participated in the camp wholeheartedly with close to 80 patients were examined, and medicines were also provided to them.

Such activities are a regular at the University as being actively involved with people is a prerequisite for a health care professional and the camp gave immense exposure to all our students who were an integral part of the camp.
