Chitkara University wins awards at 51st ISTE Annual National Convention 2022
Chitkara University has received three awards – ’Best Faculty Chapter, Best Technological University, and Best Administrator’ by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) during the 51st Annual National Convention & Awards Function 2022 at AITD, Goa.
Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab along with Dr. Maninder Singh; and Dr. Mohit Kakkar, Assistant Dean, Department of Applied Sciences, Chitkara University, received the award from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant, who was the Chief Guest of the event in the presence of Dr. KK Agarwal, President, NBA; and Dr. PK Desai, President, ISTE.
The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is a nonprofit organization that aims to advance educational innovation through the effective application of technology. ISTE offers a range of services, such as ISTELive, an ed tech event, the ISTE Standards for learning, teaching, and leading with technology, and ISTE Certification, to support professional learning for educators and education leaders. In addition, ISTE offers a variety of tools for professional development, such as webinars, online classes, consulting services, books, and peer-reviewed journals and publications. The ISTE flagship conference, STELive, brings together educators from around the world to discuss and share innovative teaching strategies. More than 24,000 educators and education leaders attended the event. In addition to ISTELive, ISTE hosts a variety of smaller events around specific topics. Beginning in 2018 ISTE began hosting Creative Constructor Lab, a virtual event that focuses on using technology to support design and creative thinking. ISTE also hosts the Leadership Exchange (Lx) for education leaders and the EdTech Industry Summit for product developers. In 2022 ISTE began a new event, Make the Future Summit, for education leaders in the UK.

Our virtual and face-to-face events draw the most innovative education changemakers from around the world.
