Chitkara University Triumphs at North Zone Inter-University Badminton Women’s Championship

Chitkara University demonstrated exceptional talent and sportsmanship by clinching the coveted Gold Medal at the North Zone Inter-University Badminton Women’s Championship. The event was hosted by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. A total of 54 teams from across the region participated, making the competition intense and challenging.

In the pre-quarterfinals, Chitkara University defeated Chandigarh University with a convincing 2-0 victory. Building on this momentum, the team triumphed over Punjab University in the quarterfinals, again with a clean 2-0 scoreline, securing their place in the Super League.

The Super League matches showcased the team’s skill and determination. In their first match, Chitkara University dominated LPU Phagwara, securing a 2-0 win. The second match was a tightly contested encounter against MDU Rohtak, where Chitkara emerged victorious with a 2-1 score. Finally, in a commanding performance, the team defeated the host, Himachal Pradesh University Shimla, with a 2-0 win, sealing their championship victory.
