Chitkara University Students Excel in Senior State Wrestling Championships
Students from Chitkara University’s BBA Sports Management program demonstrated exceptional talent and determination by earning multiple accolades in the Senior State Wrestling Championships held across various locations in November 2024. These victories underline the university’s commitment to promoting excellence in both academics and sports.
Anuj, a first-year student, clinched a gold medal in the 97 kg (Greco-Roman) category at the Senior State Men’s Wrestling Championship held at Kushti Bhawan, Nandini Nagar, Nawabganj, Uttar Pradesh. His remarkable performance reflected his skill, discipline, and commitment to the sport.
In the women’s category, Bipasha, a third-year student, secured a gold medal in the 72 kg weight category during the Senior State Women’s Wrestling Championship at Netaji Subhash Sports Complex. Her victory underscored her dedication and unwavering focus.
Anshul, a second-year student, triumphed with a gold medal in the 59 kg category at the Senior State Men & Women Wrestling Freestyle and Greco-Roman Championship, held at Sports Complex Manimajra. His outstanding performance highlighted his perseverance and technical expertise.
Additionally, Abhishek Nagar, a third-year student, won a bronze medal in the 97 kg (Freestyle) category at the Senior State Men’s Wrestling Championship held at BSA College, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, from November 20 to 25. Nishant, a first-year student, also secured a bronze medal in the 63 kg (Greco-Roman) category at Lt. Mahipat Singh College of Education, Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Haryana.
