Chitkara University Shines in Punjab State Arm Wrestling Championship
Gaurang Sriwal and Pathik Adarsh Sriwal, students of Chitkara University, showcased their prowess in the Punjab State Arm Wrestling Championship held in Ludhiana on May 5, 2024. Organised by the Punjab Arm Wrestling Federation of India (PAFI) and sponsored by the Pro Panja League, the championship witnessed participants from across the state vying for top honours.
Gaurang Sriwal clinched the bronze medal for the left-hand category (under 70 kg), while Pathik Adarsh Sriwal secured the bronze medal for the right-hand category (under 75 kg). Their remarkable performance against competitors from various regions of Punjab earned them well-deserved recognition.
The Sriwal brothers’ exceptional achievement has earned them a coveted spot in the Nationals, scheduled to take place in Nagpur, Maharashtra, later this year. Their selection for the national-level competition underscores their dedication, skill, and commitment to the sport of arm wrestling.
