Chitkara University has achieved a remarkable milestone as 20 of its outstanding students were honoured during the prestigious G20 University Connect Program, held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event witnessed the august presence of Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, who addressed the gathering on this momentous occasion.
These 20 exemplary students showcased their exceptional talent and dedication, earning accolades on a national stage. Their achievements underscore Chitkara University’s unwavering commitment to nurturing the brightest minds and fostering a culture of excellence.
Chitkara University, Punjab, stands proudly recognised for its unwavering commitment and substantial involvement in the G20 University Connect Program, aimed at Engaging Young Minds, in collaboration with the Research & Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), under the Ministry of External Affairs. This remarkable achievement was celebrated in an eBook officially launched by the Honourable Prime Minister of India on September 26th, 2023, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the esteemed Prime Minister of India, for granting her the privilege to organise and participate in this globally significant event on campus. She emphasised Chitkara University’s unwavering dedication to continually contribute to the G20’s central theme.
The event unfolded at Chitkara University, Punjab, spanning from August 20th to August 24th, 2023, in close collaboration with RIS, an organisation operating under the Ministry of External Affairs. An array of activities, competitions, and lectures were meticulously organised, designed to actively engage young minds in discussions and explorations pertaining to G20-related topics. Impressively, a total of 1200 young learners enthusiastically participated in these activities.
During the inaugural ceremony of the G20 University Connect event held at Chitkara University in Punjab, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, passionately conveyed that the G20 Presidency signifies a significant opportunity for India to make substantial contributions to the global growth narrative.

As a distinguished member of the B20 (Business 20) Taskforce, in collaboration with CII under the G20 umbrella, Chitkara University stands at the forefront of reshaping the future of work, skills, and mobility.
