Chitkara University salutes the spirit of women

It was women all the way at Chitkara University on International Women’s Day as everyone at the University celebrated the event with great enthusiasm and keenness.

The celebrations started with Rina Angel delivering a presentation on awareness on sexual harassment. Female members of the University, including faculty, were acknowledged and honoured by none other than Niyati Chitkara for dedication, commitment and a long association with Chitkara University.

Women were given numerous opportunities to explore their potential through a number of competitions lined up for them. There were competitions like tie-tying competition, master chef, pea-peeling competition, discussions, expressing opinions through writing, fashion show with retro theme, RJ Hunt and a lot more.

All these activities were intended to make women have some fun and unwind themselves. The event saw great participation from not only the participants but also from viewers.

The event turned out to be amusing and a stress buster for many. It was not only women, but men also coordinated and cooperated equally to make Women’s Day grand and fun-filled at Chitkara University as a quiz was organized for men, along with an essay writing on ‘Equality of women is progress of all’.
