Chitkara University salutes the spirit of Womanhood on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2018
The women of today are the epitome of charm and power. You witness women in every field; it may be those fabricating establishments as an architect or pursuing law or as a political leader. To salute this unending spirit of women, Chitkara University celebrated International Women’s Day on 8 March 2018.
Dr Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University honoured five exemplary women achievers in their respective fields. These were Ms Harjinder Kaur – Chairperson, CCPCR Chandigarh, Ms Nirmal Chandel – Social activist and reformer, Ms Charul Malik – News anchor and journalist, Ms Sukriti Vadhera Kohli – Creative designer and visualizer and Ms Gurmeet S Rai – Conservation architect, Director, CRCI India and Vice-President, ICOMOS, India. All five renowned personalities talked about their journey both as women and as ace professionals.
The event was attended by students, faculty and staff of the University.
It was an enlightening event as the audience was exposed to the fact that the woman influences so many lives and has creative and professional talent to excel.
