Researchers awarded funding worth Rs. 90 lakhs from DRDO

Chitkara University is immensely honored to share the remarkable achievement of its researchers from Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network (CURIN). The university’s researchers have been awarded funding of Rs. 90 lakhs from the prestigious Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The researchers from CURIN will join forces with the accomplished scientists from Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), DRDO, located in Chandigarh, to embark on a significant research endeavor. The initiative aims to design and develop a cutting-edge Electrical Energy Storage (EES) device, specifically a Hybrid-Capacitor (HC) with a defined voltage rating, capacitance value, Low Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), and optimal dimensions. This innovative device will effectively utilise and manage the generated electrical energy and support the storage of energy from renewable sources.
