Chitkara University Receives Prestigious Funding for AI-Smart Farming Project
Chitkara University has achieved a remarkable milestone, with its innovative project, “AI-Smart Farming using IoT and GIS,” receiving funding from IIT Ropar. The project, submitted by the Department of Interdisciplinary Courses in Engineering (DICE), was selected among numerous submissions from across India and recognised as one of the top four projects for its groundbreaking approach to smart farming.
The prestigious honour was awarded at IIT Ropar in the presence of Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University. Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, Dean, and Dr. Manvinder Sharma, Associate Professor, DICE, received the award, which was presented by Sh. Keshav Hingonia, IAS, Punjab, and Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora, Former Executive Director, PSCST.
