Chitkara University Receives its first Patent of Design Project ‘Solar Lounge’

Chitkara University added another milestone by getting its first Patent of Design of Project ‘Solar Lounge’. Mrs Kompal Bansal, Consultant-Patents handed over the Patent to Dr. Madhu Chitkara Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University. Dr. Madhu Chitkara congratulated the inventors Ms Anu Singla, Mr. Shrey Dhiman, Ms Priyanka Saini and Mr Manish Singh and Dr. Archnana Mantri for the great achievement. The patent is registered for 10 years and can be further extended for another five years.

University is at forefront in promoting innovations and research amongst Chitkara Fraternity. The Office of Patent Facilitation, Licensing and Consultancy (OPFLC), CURIN has filed around 70 patents till now. The first design patent will surely inspire the budding engineers to work on innovative ideas benefitting the society.
