Chitkara University receives “Best University of the Year 2021” at The EduMeet-2021 by ASSOCHAM
Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University was invited by ASSOCHAM Higher Education Council-East for the inaugural lamp lighting and welcome address on National Education Policy-2020 at The EduMeet-2021 Summit at The Lalit Great Eastern Hotel, Kolkata.
The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is a non-governmental trade association and advocacy group. The organisation represents the interests of trade and commerce in India and acts as an interface between issues and initiatives. It has established partnerships with over 150 organizations across the world to serve as a platform for connecting Indian industry with international business community.
Dr. Madhu Chitkara shared her insights with eminent speakers such as Dr. KK Agrawal, Chairman, NBA, New Delhi; Mr. Manoj Joshi, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Higher Education Council-East; and other leaders of education. Her insights, valuable thoughts, and case studies on Chitkara University in line with NEP were appreciated and quoted by many speakers during the event. She also talked about the futuristic challenges, changes, and opportunities that are likely to be encountered during the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP).
She shared the stage with Vice Chancellor, Jadhavpur University, Kolkata, during the planetary session on “New Way to Education, Creating Centre of Excellence & Industry Academia Partnership”.
Chitkara University was also awarded “Best University of the Year 2021” during the award ceremony of The EduMeet-2021 on November 19th, 2021. The ASSOCHAM IP Excellence Awards recognize and honour enterprises, institutions, and individuals for their pioneering efforts in facilitating innovations and creating a healthy intellectual property (IP) ecosystem in the country.
ASSOCHAM operates 59 Expert Committees, 10 state councils and 11 International Councils that provide an interactive platform to members for interaction and aid formulating policy recommendations to facilitate economic, industrial and social growth. The association has a special role in promoting international trade, and often hosts international trade delegates to India, along with sending delegations of Indian business groups to foreign locations. It also interacts with international counterpart organisations to promote bilateral economic issues.
ASSOCHAM is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce, the World Business Organisation, through ICC, India. ASSOCHAM is authorised by the Government of India to issue Certificates of Origin, certify commercial invoices, and recommend business visa.
